Email 1: Your result
Right after the assessmentHi [First name],
Thank you for taking the Root Response Assessment. Your Primary Root Response is The Fuse.
I put your results into a short guide you can keep and come back to.

If that sounds familiar, you're probably someone who handles a lot. You keep going when you're tired, frustrated, or stretched thin, and most of the time it works. Then something small lands on top of everything else, and you respond more sharply than you meant to. Afterward, you may wonder why you reacted that way.
Your response isn't your identity. It's a pattern. And patterns can change.
Your Guarded side: You push through instead of recognizing what you need, until the pressure makes the choice for you.
Your Grounded side: You notice the pressure earlier and say what you're experiencing before it reaches a breaking point. You can still be passionate, direct, and expressive.
One response to practice this week: When you first notice frustration building, pause and ask yourself what you need. Then try saying, "I'm getting overwhelmed, and I don't want to take that out on you. I need a few minutes before we talk."
Over the next week and a half, I'll send you four short emails about The Fuse: what tends to light it, why it developed, and how to practice a different response.
Remember: You don't necessarily need a longer fuse. You need to recognize what's lighting it.
Rachel
P.S. If your results also showed a Secondary Root Response, keep it in mind as you read. Different situations can bring out different responses.
